First Come First Serve:
At Sofa Savers, all merchandise is sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. This means that items are available to all customers in the order that interest and payment are received—whether in-store or online.
- Unless a 10% deposit is placed, no item will be held.
- All items are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, both in-store and online.
- Availability is only guaranteed after payment is received and processed.
What This Means for You:
- We do not hold items without payment or a deposit.
- Inventory is not guaranteed to remain available, even if a customer has expressed interest, until a transaction is completed.
- In cases where multiple customers are interested in the same item, the first to complete a purchase or place a deposit will receive priority.
Important Notes:
- Many of our items, especially clearance, floor models, and promotional specials, are available in limited quantities. Once they’re gone—they’re gone!
- Deposits are non-refundable. Due to our limited floor space, quick inventory turnover is essential to our operations and customer satisfaction. Please only place a deposit if you're certain about your purchase. If you have any questions before buying, our team is here to help!

Fit & Accessibility Policy:
At Sofa Savers, we want every delivery to go smoothly—but it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that the furniture they purchase will fit into their home and through all entry points, including doors, hallways, elevators, and stairwells.
For questions about sizing or dimensions, our team is happy to assist before you make a purchase!
Please Note:
- Sofa Savers is not responsible for measuring entryways or determining whether an item will fit into your space.
- We strongly recommend checking all dimensions of the item against all entry points, including doors, hallways, elevators, and stairwells.
- If our delivery team determines that an item cannot be delivered due to space restrictions or access limitations, they will not force the item into the space or risk damage to the product or property.
In the event the item does not fit:
- No refunds or additional compensation will be provided.
- Customers are allowed to transfer their payment to a new item for an attempted redelivery, this will include restocking fees and redelivery charges (redelivery fees will correspond to the initial delivery fee charged).
Restocking Fee Policy:
- Non-Upholstered Items:
A flat 15% restocking fee applies based on the original purchase price. - Upholstered Items (e.g., sofas, sectionals):
A fee of $30 per seat is applied. - Chaise cushions are counted as 2 seat cushions
- Oversized seating is counted as 1.5 - 2 seats per cushion
- Ottomans are counted at 1 - 2 seats
Important Notes:
- Returns are only accepted for items refused at the time of delivery.
- Items picked up by customers are final sale and cannot be restocked or exchanged.
- All service fees (including delivery and moving assistance) are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- If a payment is transferred to a different item, any price difference will either be refunded or owed by the customer.
- Restocking fees cover handling, repackaging, and administrative processing. Please contact us before returning an item to understand how these fees may apply.

Removal:
Old Couch Removal Policy:
At Sofa Savers, we’re happy to help make room for your new furniture purchase. If you need assistance with removing your old couch, we offer a convenient removal service for a fee, based on the size of the item.
Removal Pricing:
- $30 per seat cushion
- Chaise cushions are counted as 2 seat cushions
- Oversized seating is counted as 1.5 - 2 seats per cushion
- Ottomans are counted at 1 - 2 seats
Examples:
- A 3-seat sofa: $90
- A 5-seat sectional: $150
- A sofa with chaise: $120
- An oversized 2 cushion loveseat: $90
Important Notes:
- Removal is available only at the time of new furniture delivery.
- All items must be in a safe, movable condition and free of pests or hazardous materials.
- We do not remove furniture that is infested, excessively soiled, or structurally unsound.
- To schedule a removal or get a quote, just let us know at the time of purchase or contact our team before your scheduled delivery.

Deposit & Hold Policy:
Item Holds:
- 7-Day Hold Limit: Items may be held for a maximum of 7 calendar days from the date of purchase unless otherwise approved by a team member.
- Extended Holds: For delivery needs beyond 7 days, we recommend purchasing from our Ashley Furniture line, which allows for more flexible delivery scheduling.
Deposits & Reservations:
- A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required to reserve an item.
- Secure the item under your name.
- Is Transferable to other Items
- Is not refundable
Payment Requirements:
- Full payment is required before delivery, unless payment on delivery is specifically approved by a team member.
Customers may pay:
- In-store prior to delivery (cash or card).
- Via Phone/Website before the delivery date.
Partial payments are only allowed to:
- Split between multiple payment methods
- Reserve an item with the 10% deposit.
No Refunds on Deposits or Partial Payments:
- All initial and partial payments are non-refundable, even if the remaining balance is not completed.
- Sofa Savers does not offer refunds, credits, or exchanges for deposits or incomplete payments.
- Any partial payment is considered a final sale and the item will be marked as sold.

- Please ask one of our team members about how our hold policy might apply to your specific item. Multiple factors determine the exact timeline we can hold your goods and we are happy to assist you as much as possible.

Return & Refund:
All Sales Are Final:
Once a couch or any other item has been delivered to your home and our team has left, we do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges under any circumstances.
Ashley Furniture Products:
If your product is from Ashley Furniture and arrives with damages or defects, please refer to the manufacturer’s warranty. Ashley offers warranty services that may cover repair or replacement, depending on the issue.
Customers may contact Ashley Furniture directly to initiate a warranty claim. If you need assistance with the process, you are welcome to contact us, and we’ll be happy to help facilitate the warranty claim on your behalf.
All Other Goods – Sold “As Is”:
Once a buyer accepts and pays for an item the product is “As Is”, without warranties or recourse if an imperfection is discovered. Sofa Savers is not responsible for making repairs or providing a price reduction for issues with the product. Sofa Savers inspects each item for any defects and discloses found defects before the sale is complete. Not all defects are found 100% of the time so we encourage all customers to come in person to inspect their desired product before purchasing. In the event a purchase is made without in person inspection we allow customers to inspect upon delivery and buyers reserve the right to refuse delivery with a full refund of any deposit or payment made. If a delivery fee was required for the sale to be completed the delivery fee is non refundable.
Important Notes:
- In the event you received your goods and notice a major flaw or issue with the product that was not caused by you and cannot be warranted by Ashley, please contact us for assistance. Making our customers happy is our top priority and we will do our best to make that happen.

Custom Order Shipping & Delivery Policy (Ashley Furniture):
At Sofa Savers, we’re proud to offer custom furniture orders from Ashley Furniture. Please note that all shipping and delivery timelines for custom orders are estimated and not guaranteed.
Custom Order Shipping Times:
- Lead times provided at the time of purchase are based on information from Ashley Furniture and are subject to change.
- Factors such as manufacturing delays, supply chain disruptions, or transit issues may impact arrival times.
Delivery Scheduling:
- Once your custom order arrives at our warehouse, we will contact you to schedule a delivery date.
- While we make every effort to keep scheduled delivery appointments, delivery dates are subject to change.
- In the event of unexpected delays such as weather, staffing issues, transportation breakdowns, or other logistical challenges, Sofa Savers reserves the right to reschedule delivery.
Direct Ship Option:- Some goods from Ashley Furniture are able to be directly shipped to your home, a fee of $20-$50 per item is applied if you choose this option. Only addresses in Michigan qualify for direct ship.
- Please ask a team member if you would like a product directly shipped to your home. They will determine if the product is eligible for direct ship and provide estimated shipping times.

- We understand how important it is to receive your furniture on time, and we’ll do everything we can to minimize delays and keep you informed.
- Sofa Savers is not responsible for any costs or inconveniences resulting from delivery delays, including time off work or rescheduling of other services.

Sofa Savers no longer offers a purchase or buy-back program for used goods.
We do offer a free removal service for customers purchasing new Sofa/Sectionals/etc
Trade-Ins for Credit:
At this time, Sofa Savers does not offer trade-ins or store credit in exchange for used furniture or goods. We do not assign value to used items for the purpose of applying credit toward new purchases.
