Is this a free service? Could there be a fee to have my couch picked up?
Yes this is a free service for gently used furniture without any severe damage. If there is severe damage, we do charge to pickup. If you are unsure about your furniture, please fill out our “Free Couch Removal” form and we’ll let you know if your furniture meets the requirements.
What qualifies as a "gently used" couch/furniture?
Sofa Savers classifies “gently used” furniture as furniture with no major rips/tears, severe structural/spring damage, or large permanent stains. Minor tears on seams, small non-permanent stains, and general wear and tear are acceptable. By filling out this from, it allows us to better assess whether we need to charge a fee for removal.
What types of damage are subject to a fee?
The most common types of damage that we need to charge for are major rips/tears, severe frame/spring damage, large permanent stains, and severe wear and tear. The fee goes toward the cost of refurbishment.
Will you take of all of the heavy lifting/moving?
Upon request we can bring a pickup team of 2 to take care of all the moving from start to finish. If not requested, it is expected that there will be someone there to help with moving/loading.
What types of furniture do you pickup?
We currently pick up couches, loveseats, sectionals, living room sets, and recliners to name some. We accept pretty much any upholstered living room furniture.
Do you provide donation receipts?
Unfortunately since we’re LLC rather than a non-profit, we’re unable to provide a donation receipt. With that being said, we can ensure that your old furniture is going to a good cause. A portion of all proceeds from our pick up service are donated to local charities.
